March & District Model Railway Club
To promote and encourage the interest in and building of model railways. Mostly but not exclusively in ‘OO’ 4mm scale, ‘O’ 16.5mm narrow gauge and also ‘N’ gauge.

Nene Sidings is a small freelance layout constructed in 4/mm/foot and built with OO gauge code 100 track.

The layout is designed to form a shunting puzzle giving the operater numerous challenges.

Nene Sidings is a fictitious location in the Fens around the Isle of Ely.

Feeder track leads into three sidings, points controlled by push / pull rods. All the buildings have been scratch built by club members.

We allow adults and children to operate the layout when visiting shows.

The layout operates from the 1950’s to the end of the 60’s using steam and diesel locomotives to shunt various wagon loads.
